Conversation tips for the happy holiday dinner table

You've spent weeks, days, and hours planning a perfect holiday celebration only to have the day go south at the dinner table. The turkey may be perfectly browned and the ham perfectly glazed but if the conversation is a bust it just won't matter.

I have put together 5 things you should never ask someone at the holiday dinner table in order to keep peace on earth and the day merry and bright.

Tip Tuesday....What are your kids really eating at school?

I'm going to start out this blog post by just being real. I am the kid this post is about, well I was. True confession time, when I was 10 years old my Mom was going through my dresser drawers. It wasn't the first time she would find something shocking and it certainly wouldn't be the last much to her dismay. I was a very obedient child at least I thought I was, but every now and then just like every other child I went rogue. Having a dresser drawer full of weeks old uneaten peanut butter and jelly sandwiches s defiantly on the rebel side. Boy was my Mom mad! So now you're wondering why was my dresser drawer full of uneaten peanut butter and jelly sandwiches wrapped in cellophane and still neatly packed in their brown paper sacks? Staying cool in the summer heat

Many of us love the summer and all the outdoor activities that go along with it. Long walks, playing at the park, sports, swimming, hiking, and so much more. While all all of these activities are very healthy for you, the heat of the summer can actually be a danger to your health. There are more heat related deaths than any other natural weather occurrence including tornadoes, hurricanes, and floods combined. Each year thousands of Americans fall victims to heat related illness. Most often times it is the young and the elderly who are most at risk but heat can have an affect on all of us unless we use our common sense and take precautions.
